Making marriage a priority.

While John C. Tompkins put in grueling hours at his money-losing newspaper, his wife Cindy stayed at home caring for their children. Eventually, Cindy got so fed up with John’s absences that she filed for divorce. Soon, however, she realized she had made a mistake, and she and John sought help from their pastor. Cindy began to realize that her unhappiness was a result of seeking to fulfill her own selfish desires rather than giving herself to God, her husband, and her family. The crisis of divorce is now twenty years behind them. John and Cindy recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. John’s newspaper business also improved. Today, he is President and CEO of News Media Corporation, a news service provider with weekly and daily newspapers across the United States.
Do you “just want to be happy”? If so, why don’t you ask Jesus what true happiness looks like? If you do not know Jesus, we encourage you to pray the following:
Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me be the person You want me to be.
Saying this prayer is the first step towards a personal relationship with Jesus. We would love to pray for you and send you further information.
