One day while listening to his pastor teach on the seven steps of success, “the whole blueprint for how to construct a national newspaper company just came to me,” John says. John purchased two floundering newspapers and made them profitable. After succeeding with two more newspapers, he was pretty cocky. This attitude, plus his workaholic habits, put undue stress on his marriage. Finally, his wife Cindy asked for a divorce. Desperate, John sought a pastor’s counsel. This helped him refocus his priorities and begin to pursue a relationship with God. Within two weeks, Cindy told John she wanted to get back together. Twenty years later, they recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary. John’s company, News Media Corporation, has also succeeded. He now owns 54 newspapers and employs 625 people. Even so, John admits, “Any great successes I have had have come strictly from God’s interference in my life.”

Could you use “interference” in your life? Why not ask Jesus for help? If you don’t know Jesus, we encourage you to pray the following:

Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me be the person You want me to be.

Saying this prayer is the first step towards a personal relationship with Jesus. We would love to pray for you and send you further information.
