In the mid-1980s, Henry “Hal” Thomas was an executive in a cellular phone company. But when Hal was ordered to randomly terminate five employees as a disciplinary measure, he refused to do it and quit instead. Hal and two partners formed a company, COM2000+. The cell phone industry was expanding rapidly at the time, and they needed to broaden the coverage area, so COM2000+ specialized in finding and assessing sites for new cell phone towers. One of the partners wasn’t willing to submit the business to God, however, so COM 2000+ dissolved. But Hal and the other partner reformed the company and renamed it Corban Communications. (“Corban” means “an offering to God.”)

Have you felt pressured to compromise your values to succeed? If so, why not ask Jesus to help you? If you don’t know Jesus, we encourage you to pray the following prayer:

Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me be the person You want me to be. Amen.

Saying this prayer is the first step towards a personal relationship with Jesus, who will guide and encourage you every step of the way. We would love to pray for you and send you further information.
