In return for Ed Sisam helping build up the company, an insurance company chairman agreed to share ownership and profits with Ed. But after Ed spent five years establishing successful offices in three states, he was wrongfully terminated. Worse yet, when Ed started his own insurance agency, his former company launched a lawsuit to prevent him from competing. Nearly bankrupt but with a strong faith in God, Ed and his wife Dorothy began serving as paralegals to help their lawyer defend them. Eventually, new allegations against the insurance company surfaced, and they settled out of court. Result? Ed and Dorothy regained virtually all the money they had lost during the process, ended up with law degrees, and opened their own law office.
