Anthony Munoz came from a single parent home in a poor Los Angeles suburb, but his academic and athletic prowess earned him a spot at the University of Southern California. However, four years of college football wreaked havoc on Anthony’s knees, forcing him to undergo three knee surgeries. By the time he made it to the NFL tryout camp, the team doctors turned him down. But Anthony had become a Christian in college and he believed God was still calling him to play. After a year of rehab, the Cincinnati Bengals chose him as their third draft pick overall. During his twelve years with the Bengals, Anthony went to the Pro Bowl eleven times and was elected to the Football Hall of Fame.
Are you tired of trying to do things on your own? Why not ask Jesus for help? If you don’t know Jesus, we encourage you to pray the following:
Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me be the person You want me to be. Amen.
Saying this prayer is the first step towards a personal relationship with Jesus. We would love to pray for you and send you further information.
