Looking for God in all the Wrong Places

The year Terry turned 30 was full of emotional upsets, including the loss of her advertising job. Looking for answers, Terry attended a New Age seminar, which led her to believe that God was not some sort of vague universal intelligence but a conscious being. Though she did not yet have a name for God, Terry started to pray, even for business insights. She also found her New Age soul mate, Robert LaMorte. When she experienced back problems, Terry visited a chiropractor who claimed he could “channel” God. But when his channeling voices wouldn’t stop, a Christian couple delivered him from evil spirits. He urged Terry and Robert to see this couple; which they did, and Terry and Robert also became Christians.

Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me be the person You want me to be.
