In 1966, after working for the Iowa Veterinary Supply Company (IVSC) for thirteen years, Tom and Ken Meadow bought the business for only $25,000 each. Two years later, they bought the Milligan Corporation, again at a very low price. In 1983, Ken retired. Tom then invested in a computerized ordering system and expanded IVSC’s line of products. The diversity made IVSC a convenient, one-stop shopping center and took the business from $13 million in annual revenues to $140 million. His success secret? Tom says, “The fundamental principles of Christianity—honesty, integrity, and truth—work in business.” As Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, and he will make your paths straight.”
Have you reached the limits of your understanding? Perhaps it’s time you asked Jesus for help. If you don’t know Jesus, we encourage you to pray the following prayer:
Lord Jesus, I want to know You personally. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me be the person You want me to be. Amen.
Saying this prayer is the first step towards a personal relationship with Jesus, who will guide and encourage you every step of the way. We would love to pray for you and send you further information.
