Rick Brekelbaum’s early career focused on advancing up the professional ladder. Eventually, he became an executive manager for over 17 years. However, he started to question how shallow success-oriented living was. Much of society’s emphasis on values of money, possessions, power, prestige, and pleasure was empty and unfulfilling, so he decided to surrender his life to Christ. He noticed that great men and women who truly had a positive impact on people were others-centered and not self-centered. Rick and his wife now devote a portion of their time working with Latin American leaders to encourage them in the transformation of their communities as they teach time-tested values and standards and principles.
